Children's Hospital Boston
Children's Hospital Boston, founded in 1869, is a full-service pediatric institution with about 300 beds. For 50 years, it has serverd as a partners of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in pediatric oncology and houses the cancer care in-patient service of the Institute. (The pediatric oncology outpatient clinics are operated by and are located at the DFCI.) CHB is also the site of DF/HCC in-patient clinical translational research on pediatric malignancies and has long supported the operation of an effective and productive bone marrow transplant service. It has a long history of investment in and support of both clinical and basic cancer research. It is a recognized center of excellence in angiogenesis, cellular/molecular immunology, cancer genetics, and molecular signaling research.
