Preliminary Announcement: Childhood Obesity Request for Applications - Harvard Catalyst

Dear Colleagues,

Harvard Catalyst is pleased to announce an exciting funding opportunity to support interdisciplinary, translational research in childhood obesity. With an eye on collaboration across Harvard schools and affiliated institutions, up to seven pilot grants of $50,000 will be available for one-year projects. Proposals addressing childhood obesity at a population level are encouraged.

Youll receive full details when the request for applications opens in early January; applications will be due approximately seven weeks from the launch. Any faculty member who holds a Harvard University faculty appointment irrespective of type of degree or institutional affiliation is eligible to be the Principal Investigator.  Non-tenure track investigators with faculty appointments, for example lecturers, instructors, and research scientists, are eligible to apply as the principal investigator if approved by and with the support of their department chair. At least one co-investigator must be included in each application. Trainees (e.g., students, clinical trainees, post-doctoral fellows, and clinical fellows) may participate as co-investigators.

We encourage you to contact Ryan Kennedy at Ryan_Kennedy@hms.harvard.edu if youd like to arrange a time to discuss your ideas, or receive input on your research plan.

Thank you in advance for your interest.

Sincerely,

Charles Deutsch, ScD
