Education Network to Advance Cancer Clinical Trials (ENACCT) is closing its doors in 2014

Dear Colleagues:

After nearly ten years of service to the cancer community, the Board of Directors of the Education Network to Advance Cancer Clinical Trials (ENACCT) has made the difficult decision to close its doors on March 31, 2014. We are shutting down after months of ongoing funding challenges and financial constraints.

Our webinars and current programs will be operational through March.  We are committed to making ENACCT’s  products and tools available to the public. By the end of the year, our website (www.enacct.org) will offer free access to many of our educational products and tools. We are also exploring the adoption of our products and tools by interested organizations.  Margo Michaels will serve the organization as its volunteer Board President through 2015, along with a volunteer board of directors.

We know our efforts have—and will continue to—shape national discussions about the complexities of addressing persistently low accrual rates in clinical trials by focusing on changing organizational practices and procedures, as well as the quality of community engagement around cancer research.

Thank you for your ongoing interest in ENACCTs work.

Margo Michaels, MPH
