Brown University R25 Fellowship

Brown University and the Miriam Hospital host an educational and mentoring program to promote training in clinical research for new investigators from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups. 

 

This program aims to train new investigators, particularly African Americans and Hispanics, in clinical research with a focus on HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, mental illness, correctional health, global health and health disparities. 

 

    

Application Details: 

  • Must have an MD, PhD, or other doctoral degree
  • Grant provides support for trainees for up to 2 years
  • Includes tuition for 2 courses at the Brown Summer Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (May 19-June 27, 2014)

Application Materials:

  • Request a Personal Information Sheet
  • Applicant's CV and NIH Biosketch 
  • A two-page statement on applicant's research goals
  • A one-page statement on why the R25 fellowship in particular is appropriate (this should include a statement on the applicant's research mentor
  • Three letters of reference
  • Applications for the 2014-2015 fellowship year are requested by: January 15, 2014.
