Request for Mentors: 2013 DF/HCC CURE Program

For the past twelve years, DF/HCC has participated in the NCI Continuing Umbrella of Research (CURE) Program. This strategic program is designed to increase the number of underrepresented minorities engaged in basic, clinical, and population-based biomedical cancer research by allowing students to experience firsthand what it is like to be a scientist. In parallel with these research experiences, students develop additional skills via participation in CURE journal clubs, research seminars, and skill-building workshops. 

We are currently recruiting DF/HCC members to provide college and high school students with hands-on cancer research experiences for the summer of 2013 (program dates will be June 10 - August 16).
