As of October 1, 2006, DOT shipping regulations for infectious substances have been harmonized with UN recommendations.  Three important changes will be enforced on January 1, 2007 - but you can start complying now!

1. The UN3373 label, with the term "diagnostic specimen" has been replaced with the UN3373 label with the term "biological substance, catergory B".

2. The UN3373 label will now be required by UPS

3. The name and phone number of the shipper must be on the box or the waybill
