Register for Basic CITI Course

You will need MS Explorer 5.0 or higher (preferred) or Netscape Navigator 6.2 or higher, MS Word or other word processing software capable of viewing files in the RTF format and Adobe Acrobat Reader software, Version 5.0 to complete CITI training.

1. Go to citiprogram.org
2. Select the red "Register for the CITI Course" link
3. Select "Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center" as your institution in the drop down "Participating Institutions" menu
4. Select your User Name and Password
5. Complete CITI Registration Page (only those fields marked with an "*" need be completed)
6. Answer Question 1,choosing which group is appropriate to your research activities
7. Answer Question 2,indicating that you have not taken a basic course previously
8. On the Learners Menu select the red "GradeBook" link to start the course
9. Read and complete quizzes for all modules
10. Download a copy of the Course Completion Report for your records
11. You have now completed the human subject protection education requirements, which are valid for three years

Documentation of completions will be sent to the CTEO Education Coordinator.  Within 7-10 days after completion, you will be notified via e-mail that the CTEO has recevied confirmation of your training and has added your name to the DF/HCC Training List.  If after 10 business days you have not received confirmation and/or your name is not on the DF/HCC Training List, please contact the CTEO (cteo@dfci.harvard.edu).
