Health Communication Core
The Health Communication Core (HCC) brings art to your science, by offering DF/HCC researchers a wide range of services that help them develop and deliver their messages in a way that is engaging, attractive, and effective.
The HCC staff and faculty comprises health communication experts whose backgrounds range from behavioral science and qualitative research to writing and graphic design. By drawing on this unique combination of skills, the core is able to lend its expertise to many parts of a project and help investigators successfully bridge the gap between their work and the audiences that benefit from their research.
Just a sampling of the Health Communication Core’s unique services includes: focus group development, graphic design, writing, editing, Web site development and design, consultation on materials, marketing plans, project naming, tailoring of materials, and facilitation of cancer prevention seminars and workshops.
The HCC is also available for consultation at the start of a project, and can offer guidance to investigators to help them determine what they will need to effectively communicate.
Finally, the core offers state-of-the-art technology – such as software, printers, and a digital press – for producing professional-quality materials.
