Core FacilitiesRNAiThe DF/HCC RNAi Core is a collaborative effort that brings together a number of local experts, resources, and centers working in the field of RNAi screening. Our primary mission is to help researchers design, perform and analyze the results of RNAi screens relevant to cancer study. We feel that RNAi screening and related approaches have rich potential to reveal insights into the underlying biology of cancer, as well as to point to appropriate targets for development of therapeutic treatments. RNAi screening may contribute to our understanding of cancer by:
The participating groups include the DFCI RNAi Facility, the Drosophila RNAi Screening Center, the Harvard Institute of Proteomics, the ICCB Longwood Screening Facility, the Laboratory of Steve Elledge and the RNAi Platform of the Broad Institute. We welcome participation from additional area experts and centers. By coming together, we feel that we can provide an exceptionally broad spectrum of expert support, reagents, equipment and services relevant to RNAi screening. Please be aware that the hands-on involvement of a researcher from your lab is essential to the process and helps to ensure success. No one will be able to perform the screen better, or more quickly and accurately gauge how things are going, than the research group that designed and will later analyze the results of the screen.
