Government Shutdown Impact on Clinical Research Trials: Clinicaltrials.gov Update
Clinicaltrials.gov Update as of Friday, October 4, 2013
ClinicalTrials.gov is open, however it is being maintained with minimal staffing due to the lapse in government funding. Information will be updated to the extent possible, with priority given to processing registrations of new trials and critical updates to existing entries, such as trial status and contact information for enrollment. The agency will attempt to respond to urgent operational inquiries. For updates regarding government operating status see http://www.usa.gov.
According to the above statement posted on the clinicaltrial.gov website, clinicaltrials.gov is up and running as of this morning.
DF/HCC investigator initiated trials will be activated according to standard procedures.
Please note: while clinicaltrials.gov is operational, we expect processing times may be slower than normal. We ask all Overall PIs to review, approve, and release your trialís record as soon as possible after contacted by the QACT. Your timely attention to the registration will help prevent activation delays.
