As a resource to our translational investigators we host a seminar series titled "Pipelines in Oncology." For this series we have oncology program leaders from the industry discuss promising projects and products in their oncology portfolio. The interest of our research community centers focuses on the rationale for choosing to develop new clinical candidates, and preclinical or early clinical data regarding antitumor activity, pharmacokinetics, and toxicity. The goal of the seminar series is to establish a closer working relationship with ongoing drug discovery and development efforts in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry. Our newest addition to the program are companies that focus on diagnostics and novel drug delivery systems.

During the day, companies provide us with an overview of their preclinical and clinical oncology pipeline during an hour-long presentation. In addition, meeting time for post-doc researchers and clinical fellows is allocated, and individual 1:1 meetings are scheduled on behalf of either the investigator or the biotech/ pharmaceutical company.

Presentations are designated for DF/HCC members only and are not open to the public.
