Research Abstract

Dr. Weeks' research focuses on assessing the outcomes and cost effectiveness of cancer therapy. She is the Principal Investigator of one of the NCI-funded CanCORS studies examining the quality and outcomes of care for patients with lung and colorectal cancer across the US. She is also the Principal Investigator of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Outcomes Project. In this role, she directs the collection and analysis of data on the clinical characteristics, treatment, and outcomes of cancer patients cared for in NCCN centers. She chairs the Clinical Economics Subcommittee of the CALGB, and is the lead investigator on a number of economic analyses alongside clinical trials in that group. Her primary methodologic interest is in assessing patients’ preferences for use in treatment and policy decision-making.
