The Office for Human Research Studies (OHRS) supports the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. It provides regulatory guidance to the review committees, the investigators, and the research teams. It also provides logistical support for the IRB, the Animal Care and Use Committee (ACUC), and guidance and resources for investigators and their study staff.

In addition, the OHRS is responsible for training and educating IRB members and for assuring that human subjects training certification is obtained. The office has created and maintains a library and online resources for guidance and education for researchers, their staffs, IRB members, and others.
