Research Abstract

Yuan lab is studying the signal transduction mechanism of apoptosis. We focus on the roles of caspase family in regulating apoptosis. Disregulation of apoptosis plays an important role in cancer development. We would like to understand the interaction of tumor promoting genes with apoptosis mechinary and how defects in apoptosis regulation lead to cancer development.
