I am a Research Scientist in the Program of Molecular and Genetic Epidemiology. My research focuses on identifying genetic and environmental risk factors for common diseases, specifically breast and prostate cancer. I am also interested in statistical methods used in genetic epidemiology, mainly in population-based case-control studies.
My current projects include genome-wide association studies (GWAS), next-generation sequencing, genetic risk prediction and detection of gene-environment interactions. I am also deeply involved in the NCI Breast and Prostate Cancer Cohort Consortium (BPC3), the Marker of Density (MODE) Consortium and coordinate the post-GWAS “Discovery, Biology, and Risk of Inherited Variants in Breast Cancer” (DRIVE) study.
