Research Abstract
My research focuses on applying functional imaging techniques, particularly functional MRI approaches, to a variety of human diseases. This includes the use of perfusion MRI to investigate human cerebral malignancies, and the use of diffusion and perfusion to characterize tissue changes in a variety of disease states.Our most recent work focuses on using an interleaved gradient echo/spin echo EPI perfusion technique to estimate capillary size. We believe this approach could be useful as a measure of angiogenesis and a method to monitor anti-angiogenic therapy.
