Research Abstract
My research focuses on prevention of colorectal cancer. First, I am pursuing epidemiological studies of colorectal adenoma and cancer with an emphasis in understanding the role of inflammation in promoting risk of neoplasia and in defining the role of aspirin and NSAIDs in chemoprevention. Second, I am investigating novel methods of colorectal neoplasia detection, including clinical use of molecularly based, immunofluorescent probes to enhance standard colonoscopy.Publications
