Research Abstract
Improving Colorectal Cancer Screening Rates by Lowering Barriers in Low Income and Non-English Speaking Populations: The Chelsea Colorectal Cancer Screening ProjectUsing randomized control study we have shown that culturally- tailored patient patient navigator program can improve CRC screening in low income and non-English speking patients. The study was selected by the National Cancer Institute as one of only nine Research-Tested Intervention Program for preventing colorectal cancer in the country.
