Research Abstract

In my translational research laboratory I investigate the mechanisms of kidney injury and repair using the mouse model system. A particular focus is the role of the hedgehog signaling pathway in kidney homeostasis and injury. My clinical focus is kidney disease associated with cancer, and I investigate the mechanisms of targeted therapy-induced kidney toxicity in humans, including hypertension and proteinuria.
