Reduction of Cancer Risk and Disparities

Research Abstract

My research program investigates the influence of social/psychosocial determinants on the development of racial and ethnic disparities in cancer risk behaviors and related outcomes. Thus far, my work has pursued three distinct, yet complementary lines of investigation:

1) Discerning biomarkers of social disadvantage.

2) Elucidating determinants of racial and ethnic disparities in cancer risk behaviors.

3) Designing community interventions for underserved populations, particularly using web-based technologies.
