Neuro-OncologyResearch Abstract
As a clinical investigator in pediatric radiation oncology our current research is aimed at effective strategies to decrease late effects in survivors. My primary work for the last 5 years has been with the use of proton radiation therapy in pediatric brain tumors. This technique substantially decreases the amount of radiation to normal tissue.Currently, patients with medulloblastoma as well as other childhood tumors are eligible for protocols using protons.
