Research Abstract

Since 1981, my principal research has focused on the pathogenesis of breast disease. I have been involved with the Nurses' Health Study in determining which aspects of benign breast disease are associated with an increased risk for the subsequent development of breast cancer. In studies with the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy, I have been involved in studies designed to improve therapy for women with in situ and invasive breast cancer.
