Research Abstract

My research focus is on smoking cessation, especially physician intervention and pharmacological intervention. I have published papers about U.S. physicians' counseling about smoking of adult and adolescent patients. I am currently the project director for a randomized controlled trial using bupropion for smokers hospitalized with coronary disease. Another project is focused on the use of nicotine replacement therapy before and after the medications became available without a prescription.
