Research Abstract

My project is “The incidence of adjacent synchronous ipsilateral infiltrating carcinoma, DCIS or atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) in patients diagnosed with lobular neoplasia of the breast by core needle biopsy”. This is a prospective study, which entails a surgical biopsy of an area of the breast containing an imaging abnormality demonstrated to be lobular neoplasia by core biopsy to estimate the incidence of upstaging to DCIS or invasive cancer in this setting. This study is open at DFCI, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Faulkner Hospital.
I am also working in Dr. Iglehart's laboratory with Dr. Biswas on NFkB expression patterns as a function of Her2-neu expression
