Research Abstract
My research interest is focused on identifying molecular mechanisms potentially critical for the pathogenesis and/or progression of prostate cancer and validating them in clinical specimens. I'm currently working on the possible role of the Her-2-neu oncogene in the progression towards androgen independence.In addition, in the attempt of isolating prostate stem cells, I am investigating the role of the recently cloned p53 homologue, p63, in prostate development.
