Cancer Risk and Disparities

Research Abstract

I am a clinical and translational researcher and pediatric endocrinologist, interested in the effects of dietary composition on obesity and related diseases (including cancer). I conduct observational and interventional studies to determine how specific aspects of diet relate to diseases risk, and to explore the physiological mechanisms involved. The main focus of my laboratory's work has been the glycemic index/load.
