My most recent effort has been internally funded "University of Massachusetts Boston, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Dean’s Initiative Research Grant" in February 2005: “Spiritual Assessment by Registered Nurses” and “Spirituality of Acute Care Nurses”, a study using the AACN Synergy model. I have just finished data collection at the BWH from over 100 patient medical records to evaluate spiritual assessment and 34 acute care staff nurses to test for the effects spiritual well-being effects on spiritual care perspectives (a partial replication of a 2004 study by Musgrave and McFarlane published in ONF).
