Research Abstract

As a busy clinical physician in the specialty of Pancreatic and Biliary Surgery I have an interest in translational research bridging the patient to bench side investigators. My primary focus is on the molecular genetics of pancreatic cancer development as well as identifing tools for early detection of the disease. I also have an interest in population-based genetics in terms of patients at high-risk (genetic or familial predispositions) for development of pancreatic and biliary malignancies. In the clinical realm, I study outcomes research in hepato/pancreatico/biliary (HPB) Surgery.
