Request for Mentors: 2017 DF/HCC CURE Program

January 10, 2016

For the past fifteen years, DF/HCC has participated in the NCI Continuing Umbrella of Research (CURE) Program. This strategic program is designed to increase the number of underrepresented minorities engaged in basic, clinical, and population-based biomedical cancer research by placing students in real cancer research settings.

Further, mentoring a CURE student presents an excellent opportunity for developing or polishing managerial skills while helping to advance ongoing research projects in the research environment.

Our alumni have gone on to achieve considerable academic and professional success in STEM fields.  We are currently recruiting DF/HCC members to host talented college and high school students in their research environments for the summer of 2017.
