Tissue Microarray Core has re-opened and added services
As of December 3rd, all requests for Tissue Microarray and Nucleic Acid Isolation services should be submitted to the DF/HCC Tissue Microarray Core. The core remains under the direction of Jon Aster, MD, PhD. Scott Rodig, MD, PhD, will be overseeing all core projects.
When submitting a new work request for these services, login to http://genepath.med.harvard.edu/pathcore, go to the Tissue Microarray Core, and select one of the three service categories:
TMA Construction Services
TMA Block Sectioning & Staining Services
Nucleic Acid Isolation
New Service
The Tissue Microarray Core is now offering Nucleic Acid Isolation from paraffin-embedded tissue cores using the Qiagen BioRobot Workstation. This service enables the high-throughput isolation of genomic DNA and RNA from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues. Tissue punches can be taken at the time of construction of tissue microarrays.
NUCLEIC ACID ISOLATION
DNA Isolation From Paraffin
DNA Isolation [3 x 0.6mm cores/ paraffin block/ well] ($4.00 per well)
Picogreen Estimation of DNA Yield ($1.00 per well)
RNA Isolation From Paraffin
RNA Isolation [3 x 0.6mm cores/ paraffin block/ well] ($4.00 per well)
Picogreen Estimation of DNA Yield ($1.00 per well)
*Samples are run in a 96 well format, with a minimum of 24 wells. Investigators providing their own tissue cores for nucleic acid isolation should stop by the core to pick up a specialty 96-well plate, as standard 96-well plates cannot be used for this service.
