Breast Cancer Researchers' Retreat
Friday, March 6, 2009
On Friday, March 6, 2009, the Breast Program in the DF/HCC will sponsor the sixth annual day-long symposium entitled “Breast Cancer Research at Harvard"
Abstracts are being accepted in the following four categories:
1) risk, prevention, and disparities
2) cell biology and signaling
3) clinical/translational studies
4) genetics and genomics
All abstracts will be published in a monograph, and available to all participants. The deadline for submission has been extended to Monday, February 9, 2009 at 5 p.m. Please submit online to firstname.lastname@example.org with copy to email@example.com.
REQUIREMENTS: Abstracts must be 500 words or less, and fit on an 81/2 x 11” paper with 1” margins on all sides. Include the title and authors at the top, acknowledgments at the bottom. You may have one (1) figure or one (1) table both in black and white, and these illustrations must fit on the same page as the abstract text.
Awards, with a cash prize, will be given to the best abstract in each of the four categories. We invite all DF/HCC breast cancer researchers to attend, but particularly want to encourage Fellows, Post-docs, and Junior Faculty to submit abstracts.
The Symposium will be held at the Harvard Club (Commonwealth Ave.) in Boston. We will begin at 8 a.m. with breakfast, will serve lunch, and conclude by 5 p.m. Advance registration will be required. On February 13, we will email an announcement requesting RSVPs. Please save the date, and send this call-for-abstracts to colleagues, trainees, students, fellows, and young faculty.
