Continuing Education for Faculty Involved in Human Subject Research
This message is to remind you that DF/HCC clinical researchers are required to take human subject protection training every three years.
In 2006 DF/HCC implemented a refresher course requirement, so the time for renewed human subject protection training is upon us. Please note that research protocols could be suspended or grant approvals could be delayed if the continuing education requirement is not completed prior to your training expiration date.
Due to the large volume of training that will expire over the next few months, we are offering faculty two options to fulfill the continuing education requirement.
1. Collaborative IRB Training Initiative (CITI) Refresher Course
This web based training application is available at http://www.citiprogram.org/.
2. In-Person Human Subjects Refresher
This session will be presented by Michele Russell-Einhorn, JD, Senior Director of the Office for Human Research Studies (OHRS).
• April 8, 2009, 8:30-9:30 am - DFCI - Dana Bldg Rm 1620
• May 13, 2009, 8:00-9:00 am - BIDMC - Stoneman Bldg 2nd Floor (Trustman Board Room)
Registration: RSVP by email to the Clinical Trials Education Office (CTEO).
*NOTE: Additional in-person training dates will be added for training that expires in June or July.
Questions may be directed to the CTEO at 617-582-8480 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
