Emmons appointed to Associate Dean for Research
Julio Frenk, MD, MPH, PhD, dean of the Harvard School of Public Health, has announced that DF/HCC member Karen Emmons, PhD, has been appointed to the new role of Associate Dean for Research at HSPH, starting July 1, 2009. As associate dean, Emmons will lead a new Office for Research Strategy and Development at HSPH. This appointment is one component of a plan to strengthen academic administration at the School. Emmons will report to the Dean for Academic Affairs and work closely with the School's financial and research departments, while maintaining her research commitments.
