Cancer Survivorship for Clinicians: Helping Survivors Live Well Beyond Cancer Poster Session

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Lance Armstrong Adult Survivorship Program is offering a Harvard Medical School Continuing Medical Education course on cancer survivorship. The course will take place on November 6-8, 2009. More information is available on www.cme.hms.harvard.edu. On Saturday, November 7, the program will feature a poster session. You are invited to attend the poster session and submit abstracts presenting research and/or scholarly projects in cancer survivorship. Topics may include, but are not limited to, outcomes research in cancer survivorship, new and emerging findings regarding the medical problems of cancer survivors, psychosocial needs of cancer survivors, quality improvement and patient safety, coordinating transitions in care, models of survivorship care, interventions to improve the general health of cancer survivors or to prevent, diagnose, and treat late and long-term side effects improving care for vulnerable populations of cancer survivors, and education and training in cancer survivorship. Abstracts for poster presentations are due on Friday, September 11 by 5 p.m. and should include the following:
• One page description of the study/project
o The abstract cannot exceed one page and must fall within the font and margin specifications: text should be single-spaced, 12 point font, margins must be 1 inch. o The description must include the title of the presentation, name of presenter(s), including degree(s), institution(s) of presenter(s), contact information (phone, email address of contact person)
The abstracts will be published in a program booklet that will be available to all conference attendees. A prize will be awarded to the top abstract presented.
