Research Abstract
Our laboratory of structural immunology focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanism of signal transduction by immune receptors, especially innate immune receptors. Recent studies show that signal transduction by these receptors is critically important for tumorigenesis of many chemoresistant lymphomas as well as for immune surveillance and killing of other cancer cells. Using knowledge obtained from our basic science studies, we hope to advance therapeutic strategies against lymphomas and other types of cancers using immunological approaches.
