Research Abstract
My major research interests are gastrointestinal cancers, specifically colorectal and pancreatic cancer. My laboratory group uses multispectral immunofluorescence, spatial transcriptional profiling, digital imaging, machine learning and genomic profiling to deeply characterize the tumor microenvironment of human tissue specimens in a quantitative manner at single-cell or microscopic resolution. We conduct landscape surveys across cohorts of hundreds or thousands of patients and also perform correlative science analyses using specimens from clinical trial patients. I also develop algorithms and analysis pipelines to support clinical molecular diagnostics of solid tumors and hereditary cancer predisposition.
