Research Abstract
I am a licensed clinical health psychologist and an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School. I have been a staff psychologist in the MGH Department of Psychiatry since 2019, where I deliver group and individual therapy, supervise psychology pre- and post-doctoral fellows, and serve on several committees including the Executive Committee of MGH Mongan Institute's Health Promotion and Resiliency Intervention Research (HPRIR; directed by Dr. Elyse Park). Before joining the faculty, I completed a 3-year, NIH-funded T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at HMS, as well as Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Clinical Fellowships in MGH Psychiatry's Behavioral Medicine Program.
With a highly collaborative transdisciplinary team of colleagues, mentors, and trainees, I conduct clinical research examining (a) uncertainty, resiliency, and health behaviors (e.g., sleep) among adults affected by cancer and other health conditions, and (b) mind-body and behavioral interventions for managing these concerns. This work has been supported by a variety of sources including the American Cancer Society (MGH-IRG) and the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Medicine (T32, K23).
To date, I have been PI of three clinical trials to adapt and test behavioral interventions for addressing difficult-to-manage concerns among adult cancer survivors. I also serve as co-investigator or consultant on other active studies in the areas of cancer survivorship, resiliency intervention testing, and sleep.
