Research Abstract

Dr. Daniel E. Lage is an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, an attending oncologist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and a member of the Cancer Outcomes Research and Education (CORE) program at MGH. His research explores the intersection of supportive oncology and health services research, with particular interests in the supportive care of hospitalized and recently hospitalized patients with cancer. His goal is to develop novel health delivery models to improve patients' experience of care, improve patient-centered communication, and reduce potentially burdensome health care utilization. In addition, as a genitourinary oncologist, he has an interest in improving the supportive care provided to patients with prostate cancer and other genitourinary malignancies.
