Research Abstract

My research interest focuses on improving the oncological care of pediatric and AYAs (adolescent and young adults) with primary central nervous system (CNS) tumors. The AYA patients represent a population that experiences significant challenge in cancer care and research, with poorer clinical outcome and unmet needs. Over the past few years, I founded the AYA neuro-oncology program at DFCI, with development of a joint clinical program (pediatric and adult) as well as a research program dedicated to the development of clinical investigations in AYAs, to address the paucity of AYA specific research in neuro-oncology.
