Research Abstract
As a medical oncologist at DFCI and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, I am a member of the 1) Breast Oncology Program, 2) Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program, 3) Inpatient Oncology Service and 4) Breast Cancer Personalized Risk Assessment, Education and Prevention (B-PREP) Program. My clinical expertise and research span the spectrum of cancer care from prevention to treatment of early disease to palliative care in the metastatic setting. My research focuses on cancer outcomes among women with breast or gynecologic cancers. I am interested in understanding disparities of care and focused on interventions that may improve the quality of care that we provide for our patients at DFCI/BWH, nationally and globally. With my research, I investigate how we identify and care for patients who are at high-risk for breast cancer and how we optimize their screening, prevention, cancer treatment and survivorship care.
