Research Abstract
As a health equity implementation scientist within the department of radiation oncology, I am active in clinical, translational, and population level research, patient centered care, innovative medical education, and dynamic mentorship. My clinical and research interests center around a passion to create impactful and sustainable solutions to improve cancer health equity for all patients, and advance minorities within the oncology workforce. I seek to integrate the ongoing work of creating accessible and equitable systems into clinical oncology that include linguistically and culturally appropriate education and treatment models that bring a health equity framework to all gynecologic malignancies. Through my work I seek to incorporate quantitative and qualitative methodologies to advance care for patients diagnosed with gynecologic cancers. I have a track record of advancing care for underserved and marginalized populations and look forward to empowering the next generation of clinician researchers interested in developing innovative solutions that are impactful and sustainable.
