On Thursday, April 3, the DF/HCC Faces of Faith was held virtually in celebration of cancer survivorship. With over 300 in attendance, the event featured guest speaker Ciola Bennett, MSN, RN, CCM, a Nurse Navigator at the DFCI Centers for Early Detection and Interception (CEDI), whose presentation focused on the importance of early detection, and how interception can prevent disease progression. The event also featured cancer survivors Jani L. and Nadeia F. who shared their experience/journey.
The event was sponsored by the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center's Center for Cancer Equity and Engagement in partnership with Union Capital Boston, and 22 newest Faces of Faith, brave, high-spirited, and inspirational cancer survivors photographed by Sam Ogden, were unveiled with the reading of their faith statements.
