DF/HCC New Member
Hi, my name is Linda Bi. I am a neurosurgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I am delighted to join the DF/HCC programs in Neuro-Oncology and Cancer Genetics. As a surgeon, I specialize in challenging tumors of the brain and skull base, which include a diverse spectrum of pathologies such as gliomas, brain metastases, meningiomas, pituitary tumors, and schwannomas, amongst others.
My research lab focuses on the translational biology of skull base tumors. These collectively are the most common tumors of the central nervous system in adults. Yet, our understanding of skull base tumors such as meningiomas and pituitary tumors frequently lag behind that of other tumors and cancers in the body. My group seeks to integrate genomics, immunology, computational biology, and advanced imaging to really attack and address the recurrent and aggressive forms of skull base tumors. We also have an interest in brain metastases which share many themes in the biology and transformation, as some of the recurrent and aggressive skull base tumors.
