Cancer Survivorship Research Funding Opportunity
February 21, 2023
The Perini Family Survivorship Center at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute invites members of the DF/HCC and Harvard Medical community to apply for a two-year Fellowship in Cancer Survivorship Research. Applicants from a diverse range of fields including medicine, epidemiology, nursing, psychology, and public health will be considered. Fellows will receive part-time salary support and administrative resources to help them apply their research skills to questions relevant to cancer survivors. Fellows will plan and implement new research studies, collaborate with center faculty on existing studies of cancer survivors, and apply for external funding. Applicants may be at any academic level, but mid-career and established researchers are particularly encouraged. Past fellows have developed research in behavioral health, sexual health, infertility, health services, sleep medicine, cardiac outcomes, and bone health. Applicants with background in intervention research, health informatics, health services research, and other areas of expertise with potential to have innovative applications to cancer survivorship are especially encouraged. We anticipate funding will be available to support a .20 to .50 FTE position depending on rank and experience. Fellows should be available to regularly attend center meetings, but may conduct their research at their home institution. Fellowship period can begin 7/2023 or 9/2023. Interested applicants should send a CV and cover letter describing background and research interests to: Cheryl Medeiros-Nancarrow@dfci.harvard.edu. Applications will be considered beginning March 15, 2023 until the position is filled.
