Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center launched their 6th Cohort of Yes for Cure Scholars

On February 1, 2023, our YES for CURE Cohort 6 scholars, along with their family members and supporters, participated in their first Family Engagement and Orientation session. During the event, we shared both the YFC mission statement, key program elements, and emphasized the importance of early exposure to science and diversification of the STEM workforce. Attendees also engaged in meaningful discussions that highlighted the mindset and resources needed to be successful in STEM. Important take-aways included: being present and engaged, remaining curious, affirming success and challenges, and validating a sense of belonging. We are thrilled to have the ongoing support of the cancer center to facilitate early exposure to cancer research through this program.
