WATCH RECORDING: 10th Annual Cancer Disparities Research Symposium

On April 26, 2023, the 10th Annual Cancer Disparities Research Symposium was held virtually in recognition of National Minority Cancer Awareness. This year’s theme was “Environmental Justice with a Cancer Lens,” and 198 were in attendance. Christopher Lathan, MD, MS, MPH, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Chief Clinical Access and Equity Officer, and Karen Burns White, Deputy Associate Director of Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center's Initiative to Eliminate Cancer Disparities hosted this event which was organized by Dana-Farber's Cancer Care Equity Program (CCEP) and Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center (DF/HCC).

Below are some key findings from the symposium’s post evaluation survey:

  • 99% attested that they want to attend future symposiums.
  • 67% found the symposium to be very useful to their line of work, and 44% indicated it would be useful to their line of work.
