A National Cancer Institute (NCI) Notice of Special Interest (click here: NOSI) announces a funding opportunity that encourages NCI-funded investigators to apply for administrative supplement funds to support research addressing obesity for cancer prevention and control. These supplements will help prepare for the next generation of obesity research oriented towards cancer prevention. Current awardees of an active NCI-funded R01, R37, R00, P01, P30, P50, U01, UM1, UH3, U19, and/or U54 are eligible to apply.

Participation in this webinar, although highly encouraged, is optional and is not required for the submission of an application in response to NOT-CA-25-004. IMPORTANT DETAILS
- Current awardees of an active NCI-funded R01, R37, R00, P01, P30, P50, U01, UM1, UH3, U19, and/or U54 are eligible to apply.
- Only one supplement application per parent award will be accepted for consideration.
- $100,000 (Total Costs) is awarded for one year
- Applications are due January 31, 2025
DF/HCC LOI & INTERNAL DEADLINE
DF/HCC may submit one supplement through the P30 Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) for this opportunity, and as such requires an internal vetting process to determine which application to put forward, with the following key dates:

Full Application Deadline to NCI: January 31, 2025 (internal deadline January 22, 2025)
The LOI (submit to Jun-Rong Wei, PhD via email) should contain the following:
- Name, academic title, institutional affiliation applicant(s)
- One-page summary of research plan, including planned engagement with appropriate partners from the community, governmental, non-governmental, health care systems, and the private sector
- NIH biosketch of applicant(s)
