Limited Funding Opportunity: P30 CCSG Supplement to Strengthen LMIC Institutional Capacity in Response to Updated NIH Policy on Foreign Subawards

On May 1, 2025, NIH issued Notice Number NOT-OD-25-104, outlining a significant change in the structure of foreign grant awards set to be implemented prior to Fiscal Year 2026. This supplemental funding opportunity, led by NCI’s Center for Global Health (CGH) in collaboration with NCI’s Office of Cancer Centers (OCC), seeks to support NCI-designated Cancer Centers to collaboratively develop and implement tailored grant application and management training and related capacity-building initiatives for their past, current and possible future partners in LMICs.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

  • Only one supplement application from HCC will be accepted for consideration.

  • Supplement budgets are limited to 1 year and may not exceed $150,000 in total costs

HCC LOI & INTERNAL DEADLINE

HCC may submit one supplement through the P30 Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG). HCC will use an internal vetting process to determine which application to put forward for this opportunity, with the following key dates:

Letter of Intent (LOI) to HCC : June 4, 2025 (noon) to deborah_goff@dfci.harvard.edu​​​​​​
Full Application Deadline to NCI: June 27, 2025 (internal deadline June 18, 2025)

The LOI should contain the following:

  • Name, academic title, institutional affiliation of applicant(s).
  • One-page summary of research plan, including information about a relevant funded research partnership with an LMIC institution. 

  • NIH biosketch of applicant(s)
