UMB $75k Research Projects

The UMB-DF/HCC Partnership is soliciting applications for research projects (full: $150k/year for 3 years, pilot: $75k/year for 2 years) to join an upcoming U54 Partnerships to Advance Cancer Health (PACH) application. Research project topics should align with new presidential priorities. If interested, please contact u54partnership@umb.edu with a draft abstract and preliminary aims by Monday, December 22nd. UMB $50k Seed Grant Program

Deadline: January 28, 2025

The purpose of the seed grant program is to award projects that provide support for pioneering
research at early stages of development that focuses on cancer sciences. This innovative mechanism is
designed for research that can provide preliminary data for preparation of larger applications, such as
U54 pilot or full projects or at the R21 or R15 level. Potential fundable projects under this mechanism
include, but are not limited to:

  • small observational studies to generate hypotheses;
  • purchase and analysis of datasets for preliminary analyses;
  • conducting metanalyses for design of future studies; and
  • studies that include key experiments that could provide feasibility for larger studies
