Announcement of Availability for Zanzalintinib
January 23, 2026
The Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP) is accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) to conduct clinical studies using zanzalintinib, a novel small molecule inhibitor of multiple kinases, including TAM kinases (TYRO3, AXL, MER), MET, and VEGF receptors. Zanzalintinib is being developed by CTEP as an anticancer agent in collaboration with Exelixis, Inc. CTEP will also consider requests to supply zanzalintinib for nonclinical studies. All clinical and nonclinical researchers possessing an interest in working with the agent are welcome to apply. Proposals for clinical trials should be supported by a strong rationale and robust preclinical data (see “Components of a Competitive Letter of Intent” at https://dctd.cancer.gov/research/ctep-trials/trialdevelopment). All proposals approved by CTEP will be sent to Exelixis for a commitment to supply zanzalintinib for the study.
If you are a HCC Investigator interested in submitting an LOI using Zanzalintinib through the ETCTN, please contact Dr. Geoffrey Shapiro (geoffrey_shapiro@dfci.harvard.edu).
Questions may be addressed to Dr. Lorraine Pelosof (lorraine.pelosof@nih.gov) Medical Officer, Investigational Drug Branch, CTEP, please CC Dr. Geoffrey Shapiro (geoffrey_shapiro@dfci.harvard.edu).
